We premièred our project Sand Animations with four C-prints at Rento Brattinga | galerie as part of the the exhibition “Move Still Move”. Several visitors wondered how we had managed to make these beach drawings as there were no “real” footsteps to be seen.
Although we know that some artists actually do hire helicopters to make drawings, we did not. It was just simple and careful use of our bare feet …
Speaking of footsteps: we felt most happy and honoured by the remark of one visitor, that the Sand Animations remembered him of Richard Long’s work, one of our main sources of inspiration.
